Hey Kitty, since you seem to be the go between at the moment, do you have any idea whether or not the anti-griefing system will be reset, as in our claims and set homes and the like will come back? Or are we starting from scratch on that front?

I do not have much information on the /sethomes. It looks like the claims file was corrupted and everyone lost all claims and claim blocks. As Meehan is asleep right now im not 100% on this but I'm sure everyone will be given claim blocks to re claim their things.

I'm mostly concerned about finding my bases if the set home file was corrupted. I wonder if it's possible to load the last saved file before the crash. Not a perfect solution, but it would a least keep most players "whole". Looking forward to signing back on soon.  |

The only thing I'd like to know kitty is if all the builds will be as they were when the server crashed, I've build a giant mountaincity that I'd love to show you all one day!
I'm sure the owners can get the voting and claim thing fixed.

The thing is if we have to roll back to get those /sethomes back builds will be set back. This is one thing Meehan and admins are looking at and why it is taking so long. We don't want to roll back to an old save, but if thats what has to happen then yes, there will be loss unfortunately. |

Kitty, the reason I asked is because I anticipate one of the issues the admins could be presented with in the case of a complete loss of set homes is that obviously, not everyone was smart like Teapot and took screenshots of their cords at their various builds/houses/etc. This means for awhile, people are going to be stumbling upon other people's claims. We'd like to believe that everyone will work together nicely as a community, but I can see a scenario in which someone finds say, their treehouse, goes to claim it, and finds someone else has taken it. Then it turns into a he said/she said about who the house actually belonged to, as in who built it and the admins may get caught in the middle without having a clear way of knowing what builds belong to what players. So, if that's the case, my suggestion would be we make a thread in which people post a brief description of their various homes... example: "I had a treehouse in a jungle biome, made of birch wood that spans the top of two jungle trees." and so on. That way if players end up arguing over who something belongs to, the admins can refer to the thread and see who posted a description of that particular home. It's not 100% bulletproof but it might help a bit, I'm not sure.

with the anti greifing plugin we have, it gives us access to who placed/broke what block. when it is up and running all we would have to do is tp to the found home and see who placed said block. but with that being said, it is still a great idea to start a thread describing any builds you think you would have lost in the event we do loose the /sethomes in case someone does come across a build they can check on here if someone posted to the thread and they can then save and post cords for the build.

To tp people we would need cords. and Meehan has not told us how far back it would go if we did have to roll back. He should be back on tonight and should have those kinds of answers.

I just hope our inventories and chests are ok. the very last time we were able to log i did check my inventory both in hand (on person) and in chest and everything was as i had left it. it seems the only files messed up were Claims, votes, amount of claim blocks, /sethomes. but nothing with the inventory. |

To tell ya the truth it would be, in my opinion, outragious to roll back the server, erasing hours of work for people like me just because some people cared so little about their builds that they neglected to note it's location.
