Claimed land which has not been used for a Long time.

Hey all,

Just an enquiry, I have building on a island for the past year now and there is no activity where I am. However there is a claimed island close by which has been there before I started and has been derelict since. Every-time I have been on nobody has been there or the player has not been online, tbh i have asked around and nobody knows of this player.

The island they have claimed has a small tower and a crop field with 1 chest and 1 furnace, so its basically a starter island. The question is I want to expand my claim and the island that is claimed is in the way (Im not close to it at the moment but I would like to expand). Is it possible to check the player who claimed its logs and if they have not been active in a long time can it be unclaimed?

Im not sure if I should put the players name on here or not. 

I can show you screenshots of the claimed land and the players name if this would help?
