I would definitely play on here some more if we reset. Even otherwise, I loved this community and want to play in it more.

In another thread, someone asked about an end reset. Kitty responded to it. I will just paste this here.

I think that ppl who want a reset should just leave this one and find one that fresh, problem solved. Don't destroy and existing community because it doesn't subjugate to you.

Also to keep simplex semi-vanilla we cant have multiworld plugins and the portal. We can have a separate server tho. I'd very much like to keep this world for many of the reason Kitty listed above.
If there was to be a second, 1.13 server, I'd happily donate for the opportunity to play on there too.

I would like to point out that someone has made multiple votes from alt accounts on this poll. That person is now IP banned from the forums and votes from those accounts have been removed.

I would honestly not return if reset happened. I have some builds that took weeks if not months to complete, for all that to just vanish...I wont say there's no reason for me to stay after a reset, as I do like some of the people on simplex, but it would just be painful to see all my time and effort gone.

I would like to play in a 1.13 setting, but would also like to keep the community we have together. I guess keeping the builds we have would be nice too, but I don't mind starting fresh. I sometimes think of updates as a part of the progression of the game, and losing all your past work is apart of that. It's the way of the world. Like a natural disaster or an apocalypse. It's a reminder that, as much as we try, we are still at the mercy of mother minecraft or the minecraft gods. Giveth and taketh away, and whatnot.

Would we be able to take at least some items with us? (for example, whatever we can carry on our inventory)

Well if we reset, everyone would lose their homes, their profit, everything. I would admit it would be nice for a fresh start, but the town owner part of me hates that idea. If we did a restart I think it would have to be a full reset where everything but donations are reset. Ranks included.

Ranks don't actually play a part in gameplay so I don't really see a point in resetting those

Fair enough, I can see that. However, it was mentioned that the only thing carried through *may* be ranks, and donation perks which would remove the claim blocks available. As for the set homes, I believe those have kind of been earned since its a players consistency to vote. In any case this is just my opinion and I personally wouldn't like my rank to be reset.. I've been pretty loyal to the voting and dumb as it may be, I find it satisfying to climb up the ranks. Diamonds, emeralds, and slime balls are available every vote so higher ranked players wouldn't really be missing out on those since they have equal opportunity per vote as lower ranked players.

I find it kinda funny how people are so strongly against a reset but would really like to start over again another server. That tells me people aren't scared to start over, they just don't want to lose their builds. Periodic resets are necessary imo for a "survival" multiplayer server to keep things fresh and new and even the playingfield and regenerate resources after long periods of time (>2 years in this case). Survival multiplayer to me is not starting a game and finding everything raided and having it available to you in a shop, it's exploring and earning it with friends. After hearing some of the concerns brought up here I dont think splitting the community on two servers is a good idea either but again thats just my opinion. But hey, that's why we make polls.
