Don't get me wrong, a reset would really be cool for the new content of 1.13. We all could agree on that. "Anything you made in game can be redone on a new world." Can it? Are you so sure? Like I've said, A lot of time when into the server, not only on my part but a lot of others as well. It isn't just the things collected or the builds. But the time spent on the server itself. I totally agree, Simplex as it is right now serves as a happy memory for most, and I personally would be heartbroken if it were all reset. The monuments, the art, everything. In my opinion, what I would favour is a huge border extension, followed by a new spawn area, that way there is more free land, and the area around spawn is up for grabs again. Just my two cents though. ^.^

There's already a discussion thread on this. Here Lots of people have memories here, myself included. A new map doesn't erase all those, instead it offers an opportunity to make new ones. Also a "huge" border expansion is unlikely as the file size is already pretty big. If we increase the border by the same amount each time, the amount of new chunks increases exponentially. This server has been up 2 years and has been though multiple updates and expansions already, it's just not sustainable to keep on doing that every time. If a new spawn were created too, there will need to be some rules about claiming as some of you have a ridiculous amount of claim blocks now and can potentially claim a whole side.
Here's the server description new players see when choosing to play here. Its not really "survival" anymore when most things are raided and anything you need is available in shops and the server is just being used to showcase old builds and preserve memories. Just sayin.

I would be very sad to see the old map go. I have many memories there still, and many things I've yet to do. If we don't reset, I'll just continue happily building as I do. But if it is agreed that a reset is absolutely necessary, I'll survive. Just, if there is a reset, please save the map and post it somewhere so we can download it for nostalgia's sake.

I am not sure if when it says "donation perks wont be lost" if is it talking about the claim blocks i paid money to have.
I was at one point trying to make a claim as large as possible and honestly if I loss all my blocks i would be pissed, as well, i paid for them.
I used to be one of the rich, and as i havent been on in a very long time, that is probably not the case anymore. But, I do not find it viable to reset the server. We can accomplish the same thing by expanding the borders.

I honestly think a world reset is the best option, 1.13 adds a lot of new ocean stuff and the oceans of the game take up a lot of area. So a reset would give us all new lands. Items and buildings and such in game take a long time to get sometimes but that's honestly a lot of the fun for me, starting fresh and not finding an abandoned base every 5 minutes when trying to find a fresh area.
