Hi.
So I wanted to write about a few problems on the server that comes with 1.13 (or most likely just something wrong with a plugin, configuration, etc...). This is not exactly my business to be minding as a player.
I have noticed that sometimes I can’t stack banners together (banners stack up to 16 similarly to other items such as snowballs). The banners are the same. When clicking them together in a chest, they appear to stack normally however when I close the chest, one or more banners “fall out” of the chest as if I have dropped an item. I’m not sure if this is a bug with 1.13 but I highly doubt this is client side, because a few other players have noticed this before. If you need evidence, I can take a video and paste it here.
Next, some items are being blocked by the anticheat when they shouldn’t have. I’m sure the staff are aware with this issue with lily pads being placed on water — I was the one who was triggering the anticheat for some strange reason. When you place lily pads on water, they immediately disappear from your inventory and don’t stay on the surface of the water. However if you drop all of the lily pads out of your inventory or relog, they are still there. It gives an uncommon notification with NCP (I forgot what it was) and again, if you need more evidence about this I can provide it (not at this time while creating the thread since I am on mobile).
Third, there’s something interesting that’s going on with mob spawns (specifically Drowned), and I think the staff may be aware of this already. Drowned (according to the Minecraft Wiki) are able to spawn in bodies of water with a light level of 7 and under. I’m surprised that none were spawning in the river and ocean I live between, because I basically was preparing to be attacked by tons of them (LITERALLY, LOL, though it’s a huge relief at this time). On Simplex however they only spawn in Underwater Ruins. I’m not sure if this is a plugin that’s preventing them from spawning (honestly, I really don’t know why a plugin would do this, probably configuration).
Lastly... The lag. Everyone’s suffering through it, and I guess the staff are working on it right now. From what I have heard, the server has a LOT of RAM. However something’s not right. A possible cause could be that chunks are not unloading themselves, instead they are just expanding when players are no longer near them. Too many of these chunks loaded = lag. Not sure if this is a configuration problem or something else.
Well hopefully this doesn’t add more to the “to-do” list but I figured the staff should be aware of all of this info.
Thanks
Mario
