Hello, this is just a general question, from a new user (referred to the server by one of your current players.)
the question is about streaming, as in, is there any rule I am to follow for this, including, is it allowed?
Thank you, for your time.
(streaming site is Twitch and I can give one of the admin something I have streamed before to see what sort of streaming quality I have.
ps. I have searched for streaming but found nothing about streaming play from your server specifically. Also there is nothing in the rules about it that I could find on here or the discord server about rules for Simplex minecraft server's rules.

I honestly don't really think we have any rules against it... We have others that stream and post on YouTube.

Streaming is fine as long as you aren't breaking any server rules, or encouraging anyone to break server rules with the stream. just make sure to follow all server rules as applicable (no advertising, be respectful to all players, etc..)

cool thanks a bunch, someone on discord said to probably announce too on the server itself so they can opt out of being in it, so I will try and find someplace far enough away from everyone else, that they wont have to actually try to avoid being caught in a stream, when I am on, unless I find a couple people who honestly wont ever mind, again thanks for taking the time to let me know,  |

If I can speak honestly, what I do is I'll announce when I'm streaming/recording, and give people some time to get off if they don't want to be recorded. Sometimes I'll turn off chat altogether so that I don't get random "bad chats" in game (which are harder to moderate than the in-stream chat). I haven't been able to record recently due to schooling but if you want other help/advice hmu. My YouTube is IotaReality (Simplex Survival Series) *Shameless Plug*

ah ok thanks, I saw some one else mentioning streaming on twitch, in discord too as they were asking for help checking to make sure it was working, did not think about it but I honestly have my stream playing on my computer that I play and run OBS on, so I just toss it into the 3rd screen I have to keep track of chat though it rarely works, I usually end up missing comments till long after its too late sadly, mostly because I dont get many nor many visitors, (and massive delay in chat looking like I am being rude and ignoring them probably is not helping with me growing an audience lol) been trying to see if I can find someone to read it and talk to me over my headphones privately (so stream does not pick it up and even that did not help me find someone to help, though honestly someone to talk to while playing that was helping keep an eye on the stream would be best, easier than just talking to myself though only slightly easier,  probably more entertaining than listening to me talk to myself, until someone messages in chat XD |
