Also I'm not even thinking an admist. The map I'm thinking of is a 3D google map view of the generated terrain. This would allow for touring the amazing builds on this server but obviously we'd have to find a way to be more proactive against griefers and thieves. I've used several programs to make these maps for my private world. They use .html and are easy to view use and zoom.

It would also allow you to instantly locate mansions, sea temples, etc.
On a Survival server, I don't see an up side here. He makes a great point. Having this would cause most structures to be raided/looted. And you would also be able to get to peoples bases, and personally I would not want some random guy wandering around my base all the time. I see where this is coming from, but I do not feel that an online map is needed for simplex. |
