The thing many have been waiting for, the public shopping district I started on a few days ago is complete! Before you can get your plot, I do need to state the rules and guidelines here. In owning a plot, it is assumed that these have all been read, and lack of knowledge of these rules does not exempt you from the consequences of failing to meet them!
General rules
1) Your build space is within the stone slabs on your build plot. If you wish to add overhangs off your walls for your shop, but they go over the stone slabs, you can do stuff like overhanging stairs, in which I will temporarily trust you so they can be placed, or I can place them myself for you if you give me the supplies.
2) Plots are first come first serve! If all the plots are full, you will have to wait till one is retired to gain one. In the event all shops are full for a bit and none are retiring, I will likely expand the shopping district.
3) You must be at least a [Novice] rank to own a small plot (7 x 7), and [Apprentice] to own a large one (11 x 11). This is for the simple reason, I believe you need the play time and the materials to sell, before you need a plot to sell it. You can also only own one plot at a time, however if you own a small one and a large one opens up with your rank being apprentice or higher, you can ask to move into it.
4) And finally, about retiring shops. There will be a sign in front of your plot that has on each of the rows [owner's name] [blank line] ["Last Updated"] [Date you last checked on or updated your shop]
This simply means that you need to check your shop every now and again and change the date on that sign to prove that you are keeping track of your shop. Shops not updated for an entire week
(week +1 day to account for time zones), it will be removed. Later info in retired shops down below. Placing a date that is in the future will get you a warning, and then a removed shop!
Some extra notes here, if you are doing a redstone shop, you obviously have all the way to bedrock and skylimit to build, but I would kinda wish not to have random skyscrapers. Get creative, redstone doesn't have to go straight backwards and take up 20 blocks backwards. If you wish to do a trust based system where they can access chests, I can do /accesstrust all inside your plot so people can do that. In the event that items are stolen from you while using this, it is your job to contact a mod to logblock it and such, not mine.
Getting a plot
Simply /msg me while I'm online that you want a plot, or /mail send to me if I'm not that you are looking to get a plot. I will try to get to you as soon as possible, but please don't spam me on it.
Replying on the forum to get a plot will likely be slower
Retired plots
This is one of the most important parts, read carefully! As stated above, a plot that fails to be updated for more than 8 days (1 week + timezone accounting), your shop will be removed and retired. In doing this, I will take screenshots of chest contents and of the structure, and then it will be placed in the [Hall of Retired Shops] in which your items are in chests under the district that only you have access to via sub-claims. I will also have a helper or mod look at it as an alibi to ensure both my own protection and yours that your shop has fairly been removed and all materials under your name in a safe chests to await your return. PS: If you are going on a vacation or something, just /mail me or reply on here that you will be gone and until when, your shop will be safe until the end of your vacation marked, or when you log onto the server next after your vacation started (whichever comes first).
Any questions? Make a reply here. Comments or concerns are always welcome the same way, or you can also /mail me in game and I will get to you as soon as possible. Thank you
