I've been on the server for a few moments, and i love it. However, I've played other smp servers that allow spawn eggs. Yes, yes i know "Semi-Vanilla." Just hear me out on this point. If spawn eggs for horses, sheep, cows, etc were used. It would make lives a little easier. Horses are hard to locate in my area, and i don't want to go on a goose chase. I propose allowing each player get a choice of buying a few spawn eggs. No hostile mobs should be allowed, or villagers of course. I just feel that basically this wouldn't hurt the overall feeling. Do you agree? Thoughts?

I kind of agree. Here’s a little something I’m currently experiencing. The farm animals that I have were NOWHERE to be seen around me, besides a few pigs. I had to manually go out of my way to find animals such as chicken, sheep (risking death and especially WOLVES from attacking my sheep, and indeed some died from them, making me start all over) and cows. I was quite shocked when I found out that there were no animals near me (two people live near me, but they seem to be inactive) and it was just... irregular. I kind of agree because some places really need animals, that’s why spawn eggs are there. I have no clue if there is a limit on how many animals you can have per chunk, implicitly stated within rule #6, by not creating lag (machines? or in general, I’m kind of shocked because there are some laggy areas near the spawn as well as this gigantic glass dome that Soark and I found exploring a jungle)...? I don’t remember the coordinates, but this is besides the point. I think there should be a limit on how many animals you could spawn in an area (I’d say reasonably 32 spawn eggs), unless you are spawning them in a different area, it’s difficult to explain, but hopefully you can get an idea on what I’m trying to say. Honestly, good idea. Though I’m not sure if this might be accepted, I’ll be hoping this might become a thing!!

I couldn't agree more Guerrero. I've been on a lot of servers, and they're smp. Each one allows spawn eggs and does perfectly. There's a lot of disdain towards this subject. It's not true to a "Semi-Vanilla feeling". However, ./warp end, ./warp farm, etc...This could help people greatly. If those things are allowed, which if we're to be blunt are just contradictory to the sentiments of semi-vanilla. There really shouldn't be an issue with just a few spawn eggs. I'm glad i got your support.

" I've been on a lot of servers, and they're smp. Each one allows spawn eggs" We aren't like other servers. We are as close to vanilla as we can get with a few luxury things such as /tpa, /sethomes, ect. If it were easy as walking out your front door and stumbling over every thing you need 2 feet from your house then it would be too easy. you'd get bored and then leave to go start over again somewhere else. enjoy every challenge, because at some point you'll have every thing you'd ever need and you wont have anything to do.

I'd call end grind farms a luxury too, and they're allowed. I'd also call that making things far, far too easy. It seems very opinionated from your point of view. If it were really about survival, then why have so many luxury things? Don't get me wrong, i like this server. Just feel like a few things, such as this are very hierarchical in what's allowed or not. If grind farms are allowed, which aren't very "Semi-Vanilla" IMO. Then by your own definition they shouldn't be allowed. Because, like a smart women once said "It would would be too easy." Taking your tools to a infinite grind area is far, far too easy. Not to mention the fact that they're all one hit. However, that's probably for the best because of mob lag. I just don't understand the disdain towards the subject. That's part of the reason why this is up. I want to hear what the general community feels.

Hey, I don’t know if you guys can go into shopping district yet but Ken has a special mob shop where he delivers the animal or mob of your choice to your base obviously after you pay the diamonds. So if getting some animals is that hard just go mining a bit and buy the mobs from Ken. Hopefully, this helped you solve the problem and now you don't need spawn eggs. -Unknown

Every single xp farm was made in survival (yes one of the end farms has bedrock, that was put in place after a few griefers thought it would be funny to watch people fall to the void) Spawn eggs can not be obtained in survival. If they were, then everyone would be more them welcome to get them. As Unknown has stated, if you are in need of the basics, there is always someone willing to be of help.

Comparing spawn eggs with survival built mob farms doesn't make one single sense.

Comparing spawn eggs with survival built mob farms doesn't make one single sense. As you evidently don't see my point, i'll explain it. Kitty said spawn eggs would make things easy, or at least she inferred it. I was using them as an example of making things too easy. So that needed more clarity on my side.

"We may as well add this because we already have this" is far too slippery a slope. I'm happy with what advantages you guys have already. Giving spawn eggs out is pretty much cheating. Not to mention you can use them on spawners to get the mob spawning whenever you want.
