I had been looking through CurseForge when I stumbled upon a FreeCam mod. For those of you who don't know, FreeCam allows you to essentially enter spectator mode outside of your player body. More specifically, it allows the player to see anything in chunks that have already been rendered. It's pretty much undetectable, considering it's fully client-side and doesn't send movement packets. This is considered a cheat, although I don't see why. See, if you were using it to xray, that's easily detectable. If you're using it for exploration, I believe it's not even possible. You can pretty much only see chunks loaded by the client.
Would this be an illegal mod to use?

Any mod that gives unfair advantage over others is no go.

Freecam is illegal for multiple reasons. Main one being that it gives you an unfair advantage over other players- it lets you see things and areas they cannot see. Doesn’t matter how you use it/ whether or not you use it for xray, it’s still considered cheating.
Also, it’s not as undetectable as you’d think.

I 100% believe it should be illegal, I just kinda want to see staff's point of view on it. But yeah, definitely illegal.
