First of all, do you like playing games? Do you enjoy having fun on those games? Then why would you get on a game just to AFK? If you like playing Minecraft then actually play it, if you like AFK fishing then go play Black Desert Online (google it, i don't have the time to explain it) AFK fish farms are an exploit, giving players who use them an unfair advantage of other players who choose to play the game how it was meant to be played. You don't deserve the loot gotten from it because you didn't work for it. you took the lazy way of getting those items, and it should make you feel like a cheater. Those items can be sold for Diamonds and that gives an unfair advantage. Some players can't set up an AFK fish farm for reasons like poopy internet or crappy computers or laptops that can't stay on for long amounts of time. Or we will have other players who "little siblings got on their game and did stuff without them knowing because they left their computers on and afk" also have you ever tried getting a hold of someone and they just don't respond? so you keep asking for them? That is spam on the chat that isn't needed, you can't tell if someone is AFK fishing so you just think they are blind to chat. another reason with you just standing there you are creating mobs to spawn around you. mobs that could be spawning elsewhere for players who want to play the game. Now afk pools. THEY DON'T WORK! You WILL get stuck and you WILL cause NCP (NoCheatPlus) to go off. you know what happens when it triggers saying you are stuck? It SPAMS the Moderator's and up's chat with notices saying "hey this person isn't acting right, they might be cheating!!!" like messages. So there ya go, AFK fish farms are not fair and pretty much cheating and AFK pools are broken. And you want to know another good reason for both of these to be a no go? The owner of the server said no to them. enough said. So stop acting like little children who don't get their way and stop using AFK fish farms and pools because you don't see the problems they cause.

I'm not even sure how you AFK fish in Minecraft... how would you reel in the fish if you're AFK? Mods/hacks? |

Regarding AFK pools, you don't actually get stuck in them as long as you don't have depth strider boots equipped. They still don't work regardless though.
Calling AFK Fishing farms an exploit and saying you don't deserve the loot from it because you didn't work for it sounds like quite a bullshit reason (that you probably just thought up) given that a whole slue of automatic farms are essentially the same thing, yet those are allowed. The only difference between them and a fishing farm is that the server considers you active when fishing, even though you're not. You could have just said that getting around the AFK kick is not allowed, made that a rule, and called it a day.

Get over it!lol But in all seriousness, I think the issue with AFK fishing/fish-farming is not the farming, it's the AFK part. Personally, I think any server that gives free stuff (such as claim blocks) just for time on the server should have a no-AFK rule, since that's cheating the system (for extra claim blocks in this case).

What ever happened to Beta he quit. either because he was upset he got in trouble for griefing or was upset he got beat by mark on highest votes or he just wanted to go do something else or all three. |
