hosted by me, Zanril_Sageblood.
If you've been around anytime during April on Simplex you are familiar with how the Easter egg hunts work at the Easter Archipelago. Its a big free-for-all where everyone is looking for hidden Shulker Boxes stuffed with loot for the taking. For the longest time the event mangers hid the shulkers from you, soon enough you will get that power and have an opportunity to build an area those shulkers are hid and play in them. Shulker hunting is evolving, starting with the hunting grounds I've made for this competition.
In this build competition you will be building a playspace for a never before seen team versus team Shulker Hunt in a 40x40 plot at the Pixel Arcade. I have 8 plots available - there will be no more. Contact me in-game or create a post here if you'd like to claim one. I assign what plot you will build in. Your arenas will be judged on functionality, and aesthetics. I'll need you to make your arenas beautiful and visually busy so there are many good locations to hide shulkers. To put your arena to the test, during the building phase you can contact me for a one-time playtest where 1 round of a shulker hunt will be simulated. You hide 10 shulkers and I got 10 minutes to find them. This playtest will be valuable for me when I rank your arena, and for you to determine if you need to spend more time with your arena.
All voting will be done in-game. All voting info is at the warp location to the right
When all the voting is done I'll host 1 team shulker hunt and 1 experimental hunt in the winner's of the build competition. Everything you need to learn how to play is in the Hunter's lodge basement. Players during the first game will be rewarded based on the amount of shulkers they can find that the other team hid. The second game will be for fun but will show off another team based variant of the a shulker hunt that is to come. If you are interested in playing I encourage you to get acquainted with the rules before we play on the 29th of September. If that is not enough for you I'm willing to play a 1v1 game with you my arena.

Aftermath
After this event is all over, the arenas built for the competition, unlike other build competitions will continue to be used for future Shulker hunt related events that I will referee for. I encourage the builders to further improve upon their arenas design to further the fun of the games that will be played within them.
