We're all part of this awesome community because we love Simplex and want to make it the best it can be. That's why I'm reaching out to talk about some stuff that's been bothering me lately.
I've noticed some problems with our server staff that we need to deal with. We know they work hard, but there are some issues we can't ignore:
They Don't Get Us: Some staff members seem a bit out of touch with what we, the players, really want. They're not as involved as they should be, and it's causing them to make choices that don't match our goals.
Brushing Off Problems: It's frustrating when they dismiss our concerns, feedback, or complaints as "drama." This makes it hard to have an open and trusting community.
Keeping Secrets: We need more transparency. Some staff members aren't as open as they should be, and it's important for us to know what's going on.
Power Trips: We've heard reports of staff members using their authority for personal gain or to favor their own interests. This isn't fair, and it needs to stop.
We're all here because we want Simplex to be the best it can be. But these issues are holding us back.
I want to be clear: I'm not trying to stir up trouble. I'm reaching out because I believe we can have a positive conversation about these issues. So, I encourage you to join in, share your thoughts, and suggest how we can make things better.
Together, we can work things out and create a server that's transparent, inclusive, and thriving for all. We're all here because we love [Server Name] and see its potential.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I'm looking forward to hearing your ideas in this important discussion.

Hi.
We appreciate the feedback. However, there is not really anything to work with here as there are no suggestions or concrete examples as to what we can do to improve all of this. Also, this feels a bit" AI generated", both from the wording used, and the [Server Name] part. You're also saying that staff needs to be more transparent, while you yourself make a brand new forum account just to post this thread.
If you want us to change how we do things, feel free to give constructive and concrete feedback as to what you feel should change.
Thank you for your response, and we appreciate your willingness to engage in this dialogue. We understand your concerns and would like to provide more specific and constructive feedback while addressing the issue of transparency.
Transparency and Accountability:
To address concerns about transparency, it's crucial to consider the following:
Clearly defined and well-communicated moderation guidelines and procedures.
Implement a reporting system that ensures concerns are handled objectively and fairly, preventing them from being dismissed as "drama."
Regular updates from the staff regarding decisions, changes, and ongoing developments on the server.
Open and Respectful Communication:
To avoid valid concerns being dismissed or ignored:
Create an open and respectful environment where members can voice their concerns without fear of retribution or being labeled as troublemakers.
Ensure that concerns raised by the community are duly acknowledged and addressed.
We understand your suspicion about the authenticity of this message. Please rest assured that it is a human-generated response. We value genuine and constructive feedback, and we are here to have an open and honest conversation about improving the server experience for all members.
The decision to create a new account was made to provide an unbiased and impartial perspective on the server issues. Our aim is to encourage productive discussions without any preconceived notions.
We genuinely appreciate your feedback and are committed to working collaboratively to make the server a better place for all its members. If you have additional suggestions or concerns, please feel free to share them. Your insights are invaluable, and we aim to address them constructively.
What is is that we don't get? could you give some examples of what the players would like to see on the server? We are always open to ideas to advance the server.
"Brushing Off Problems"
Sorry you feel this way, can you give some examples for us to look into? As far as I know, there isn't any "drama" going on atm and if we know what the issues are, we can better understand what you think we are brushing off.
"Keeping Secrets"
What is it you would like to know? We have multiple ways of telling players whats going on via the discord server and here on the forums. We do updates and post them in #updates other than routine server maintenance, like updating mods. If you'd like to know when we do that I'm sure we can. Other than that there is no secrets being kept from anyone. If you'd like to know something please ask. (as long as it isn't ofc about people's personal information or server things like IPs, the server seed, ect. yes we do keep that info all to ourselves, sorry!)
"Power Trips"
There hasn't been so idk what rumors are going around about such things but I would love to know! Spill the tea, sis! All our staff members are held to standards that have been in place since the server's creation. If you have concerns about any staff members, please reach out to the Admins. They are: Snurre, Mark, and Lucid. They are always open to taking DMs via discord or PMs here on the forums.
Communication is key, and we are always available for discussing any issues players may have! Thank you for your time. Have a day!
(in case anyone wants to know why I say "have a day" it's from our test server's minecraft banner, it is an inside joke, and know you're in on it too!)

We must address a deeply concerning matter that has come to our attention regarding the conduct of certain members of our server staff. It has been brought to our notice that a number of staff members have been engaging in conduct that is wholly incompatible with the values and standards of our community. We wish to make it explicitly clear that this behavior will not be tolerated.
The allegations are grave and include corruption, the nurturing of personal grudges against players, the unwarranted exposure of personal information, and the blatant use of creative mode and spectator mode to gain unfair advantages over regular players, while denying them access to basic in-game commands such as /fly.
These instances have been posted here as a means of offering constructive feedback, yet we have reason to believe that this is being treated with indifference, and there is a hope that these concerns will simply be overlooked. Let us be unequivocally clear - that will not happen.
Our server has always stood as a bastion of fairness, integrity, and respect for all. These reported behaviors are not only a breach of trust but also an affront to the very essence of our community. We hold ourselves to a higher standard, and such misconduct will not be countenanced.
We call upon anyone who has been witness to these actions, or has been on the receiving end of such behavior, to step forward and provide information. Your cooperation is imperative in our efforts to bring this situation to a just resolution. We take these allegations seriously and will pursue a rigorous investigation, taking appropriate actions against any individuals found guilty of wrongdoing.
Our commitment to upholding the sanctity of our server is unwavering, and we will not allow these serious concerns to go unaddressed. We express our profound regret for the distress these incidents may have caused and pledge our dedication to rectifying the situation, preserving the welcoming and positive atmosphere we have sought to cultivate.
Let there be no doubt - these concerns will not be brushed aside or dismissed. We are resolute in our determination to confront these issues head-on and ensure that our server remains a place where fairness, integrity, and camaraderie prevail.
This post is more vague than a college professor. If you want literally anyone on your side, you need to be providing concrete evidence, not just citing "concerns" or offering "constructive feedback" that you refuse to provide any basis in reality for. Like Snurre has already said, this whole thing reeks of AI.
And perhaps most importantly, in what universe would /fly be considered a basic command??
This is a video of me yes hi. As you can see the weekly Sunday Spleef match was going on. In that match players mentioned the idea of spleef'ing in a smaller area so I put up a wall that I would expand a block after each match. When you see me going into spectator mode, that is me getting into the arena faster; so I can put up the new wall faster; so we can start the next match faster; so players can have more fun in less time.
As event manager part of my duties include running, hosting, and managing events. To help with these duties I have access to commands such as /jail, /mute, and of course spectator mode. Using spectator mode as I did to quicken the speed of the event rounds falls inside the scope of duties. As such, the use of spectator mode is perfectly fine in this situation.
This is also a general reminder that using Free-Cam is not allowed (though upon looking closer the video appears to show you are using Replay mod which is allowed as long as you aint using it for x-ray).
The staff in question (HelloKat) has been given a talk'en to which was then extended to all of the staff, much like a warning. All of our players are given the opportunity to have a warning(s) first before punishment (well other than trolls ofc) and then be on their merry way.
This is a little bit more than feedback you're giving here, you are posting screenshots of conversations out of context to try to put staff members in a bad light. If you or any other players have any real feedback for how we run things, feel free to make another forum thread here or in the Reports section on this forums, or any other way you find to contact us really. And include a better explanation of what you feel the problem is, and we'll try to answer as best as we can.
This thread started with some strange initial report not related to you at all. As for now, this thread is closed.
