Look guys, let's be real-
Player counts are low.
It's been nearly 4 years since the last reset.
The economy is as old as 8 years.
I think it's time for a world reset.
I realize that not everyone likes the idea of resetting and losing their hard work, however, when player counts are this low -
what'd be the difference between playing the world in singleplayer?
We need to remember: What's always been special and unique about Simplex is it's community, but the issue is a lot of community has run out of things to do!
I see so many people log into the server, play for 10-15 minutes, and then leave.
These are players who WANT TO PLAY MINECARFT but don't have things to do on the server.
Events are fun, but after a while - everyone has everything and the prizes might not be as exciting.
Life's busy, people need a reason to come on and find time to play the server- instead of just watching Netflix after work!!
A reset would bring a lot of players back! We'd see old names and new names too!
New players love joining servers with active players, an amazing vibe, and things to do SO LETS GET THE VIBE GOING!!!
I'll end this off by saying - we still have an awesome community and a Discord of 1200+ people who love Minecraft, so my question to you is:
Why let that go to waste?
Why not make the server awesome again?!

Player interaction is still alive and well on the server chlorox, I know ya aint been on the server for almost a month but the server aint as dead as you think it is.
Theres nothing that we can do if someone wants to play minecraft but doesn't know what to do. Minecraft is a creative game and sometimes the creative juices just aint there. If nothing in the game interests them, then yeah, they leave after 10-15 mins to go find something else that interests them atm. Players don't need to play an hour or more every time they join the server as well, sometimes players just want to quickly check up on something then head off to someplace else.
Nothing we can really do about players playing the game and getting maxed out loot and then complaining that the event prizes ain't good enough for them. We're playing the same world as you and thus have access to the same resources as everyone else. We'd need to work 100x harder all the time in order to keep the prizes "exciting" all the time. As you said Life's busy and we just don't want to spend all of our time working on events 24/7. We need time to play the server and relax just like any other player.
These are the some of the same reason used for the last reset as well, but here we are again. This "low player count" issue is not a new one but its one that keeps getting brought up whenever people get bored of the game and want a reset. In reality, the server would most likely have more players in it if players such as yourself did not say "dead server" every time there's less than 5 players online.
If you want to play on an active simplex with lots of players, then play simplex. Its a self fulfilling prophecy when someone doesn't play the server because it's "dead" which only results in one less player on the server making it more "dead" as they would put it. If you want higher player counts, then play more, be part of the higher player count.
I think it's already pretty awesome, why not stop by and stay for a while?

The thought of a reset has crossed my mind a time or two as well. While I don't think you'll get the community support, I also think it's worth considering. I find being so deep into the end game a bit challenging at times and would welcome a refresh if it came to that.
