Hey guys
this post is for the people who have acces to command blocks. Something that would really help to fix the lag on the server is to put a command block at spawn with a command block that has the command /toggledownfall that will make the rain go away. u can put the command block on always on but if that causes mag then u can use a cauldron and a comparator behind it. the theory behind the cauldron system is that the cauldron will fill up when it rains and will put out a redstone signal when a water level is added. the cauldron cant have any blocks above it al the way to the build limit for this to work.
Greetings braminer

1. 99% sure that rain doesn't fill cauldrons 2. I like rain. 3. The admins would never do that. 4. If you hate rain, get Optifine and turn off rain particles

Rain actualy does fill cauldrons. Rain does not cause any server performance hit, but is relatively intensive client-side. Get optifine and turn it off.

Wow, I guess that means water is a 100% renewable recourse. Even if all the water in the world was gone, you could make a cauldron (infinite iron from zombies) and place it in the rain and pick up the water with a bucket (infinite iron). That's totally off topic but I never realized this.
