So by the title of this thread you are probably thinking "caarbz are you really gonna try to copy the shopping district?" No. But it will be very similar to the district, though I will give Zanril and Jonna credit for the idea. So if you are wondering what this "Housing District" Idea is, continue reading on.
So we all should face the hard truth, it is very common a new player will join simplex, read the rules, build a house, then log off and never connect to the server again. but with my idea of the new Housing District (planning to change the name unless the community likes it) A Player would be able to receive a plot of land and be able to build a temporary house/base or even maybe a farm there. Depending on the players rank, they will recieve a plot of land. the size of the plots can be seen down below.
Starter Plot: 14x14
Amateur Plot: 18x18
Novice Plot: 20x20
Apprentice+ Plot: 26x26
A Housing District for simplex could encourage a lot of new players to not leave the server if they die, or not leave when they finish their house, but it could encourage them to start becoming a regular player here on simplex. A player who joins for the first time, may be looking for a good community, and that is exactly what we want to show off to the new players, and with a huge town that is known by many on the server, this could make newer players feel more welcome, as they are being welcomed with an opportunity to live with other players nearby. How will I deal with inactive players you may ask? look down there!
So Obviously people will still be inactive. it happens, people tend to leave the server sometimes. But we do not want there items to go to waste! Anyways, if a player does come online for 14 Days, their plot will be fully removed and will be brand new for someone else to claim. I am not a jerk though, I will obviously give players a chance to get their items back. However, if a player does not claim their items for 60 days or more, there items will be sold at the Grand Lottery (Which will be built In the middle of the Housing District) I will put all items into a shulker box (or more if needed) and will charge players 1 diamond if they want a chance to win the items, the max amount of entries is ten meaning you would have a better chance of winning if you entered ten diamonds and not one. This will be done every 2 months or so, maybe 2 1/2 months. Players who want to get their items back will be charged 3D in order to get his/her items back from their house that was removed.
There you have it folks, that is most of the information I have for right now. Much more info to come, and if I do end up making this, I would need helpers and would be willing to pay if you want to help. just /mail me ingame or pm me on discord. But time for your feedback!
