I was told that this post sounded aggressive when I read it to a relative of mine. Forgive me if it came off as a personal attack
against district staff, choo and kitty in particular since they make all the decisions and morphed it into what it is today.
I don't hold resentment towards any district staff. I'm just unhappy about the district directions and the irreversible
decisions made that killed my suggestions and ideas for making it the way I think would be best for it.

Nothing is wrong with the current management of the shopping district. What is wrong is the current interpretation of the shopping district. I don't like it. Its strayed too far from what I wished it would become. The marketplace is what the district would be if I was still owner.

This is my built up list of district criticisms.

1) The Lightbulb/Build banner
This is a banner that's put near your shop sign when you first get a plot or are doing a shop renovation and need to close or
you are out of stock. You have to build something in your plot before your shop opens. The banner lasts for one week, meaning it
doesn't follow the normal 2 weeks til demo cycle. They have a separate hopper for requesting for your shop to be open
which adds another thing for managers to check. Its inefficient in my eyes.

2) If your shop is not in stock for about a week your shop will close again.
I personally wouldn't make this a formal rule, I'd be more casual about this but I do understand why this would be implemented;
so someone doesn't just claim a spot in the district, build nothing or build a shop and not sell anything. I still don't like it
since it doesn't give a strict amount of days.

3) Height Restrictions
I built a useless pillar of blocks so I could get paid 100d by Bleach to protest against this. I wouldn't burden
managers with enforcing height restrictions all because some plot owners like to build sky scrapers, and that it takes too long
to demo those kinds of shops. You only encourage players to build basements with a rule like this and based on
my experience, its easier to demo a tall shop than to demo a basement then fill it back up with stone.

4) Co-owners can succeed the owner of the plot but they have to be co-owner for at least 6 months
The amount of time you need to run your shop and keep your co-owner for that long is ridiculous. Its too long.

5) District staff have the right to deny you a plot
This opens up the doors for discrimination against players.

6) District staff can bid in auctions
Staff profit from auctions, and having them bid in them means they will get some of the diamonds they used to bid returned to
them as a part of their pay. Doesn't that seem wrong?

7) District staff have the right to change the rules without the players knowing
So you can make a rule in an instant to have it apply for only one person or situation then remove it immediately afterward?

8) Sneaky Chat
I had nothing to hide from the public when staff_corner was visible to everyone. Everyone in the discord knew that the moon
district was getting reworked, or we were getting a new manager, or .Since the channel has disappeared
what does district staff have to hide from the public

9) Rushing to make a new district in Simplex 1
It would have been better to wait until after the reset to make the new district.

10) The airplane system
I would have done this differently. The move should have been done all in-game not in discord.

11) You will lose your plot if the date on an Extension banner expires. Can only be requested once every 6 months.
This ignores diamonds you put into your insurance box, and extension banners vary in duration, from weeks up to a month.

12) Dual Plots
All non-corner plots can merge if both owners agree to it. Both plot owners also get trust to the center border that separates
them. Both players still have to unnecessarily update their own shop signs and if any one of them goes out of that, their part
of the shop gets tore down and the middle border goes down with it.

The advantage of a bigger plot doesn't outweigh the disadvantage of updating 2 shop signs AND plot owners can't update
each others signs

13) Different plot sizes based on ring. In this case smaller plots are in the inner ring and bigger as they go out.
They all should be about the same size or have the same amount of floor space. Making plots smaller for the inner ring won't
remove their primary advantage.

14) Going with a nether themed district.
Having the district's look tied to the 1.16 update will only make it show its age as future updates come by.

15) Creating a new #staff_chat channel in Discord
My access to all the district's past is now locked away or maybe even DELETED because this channel was made.


I stopped giving suggestions in the shopping district discord since I couldn't guarantee that they would manifest
unless I somehow had the power to do so myself or through someone else. I've been wanting to make another shopping area since
height restrictions were implemented and still are.

Something like height restrictions can be reversed though, so I was hopeful they would be removed eventually but once more
integral decisions were made I lost that hope.

So I tucked away all my suggestions, ideas, and criticisms thinking I'd never get to see them in action. Then Captain_Ram, and
Craftyminer11 came along and my hope returned. Starting from scratch all my and the teams ideas were made possible.

Out of curiosity after learning a bit about the rules in your district

How do you justify complaint number 5 about how we shouldn't be able to discriminate against players getting plots with your own district rules that say anyone with an inner ring sun plot can't have an inner ring in your district? Isn't that both reserving the right to deny players a plot while simultaneously using that power? (Genuinly curious as to if there's a difference in your mind.)
